Designer: Jorge Gomez Arrausi The game is played on a 12x12 checkered board. At the begining of the game, the board containss 72 black pieces on the 72 black cells and 72 white pieces on the 72 white cells. aka 'the black and white territory' Each player has 5 numbered pieces (from 1 to 5), aka 'the troops.' The board can also be called 'the virgin island'. During the first move (aka 'The Invasion'), players annotate secretely where they will place their troops on the board. Friendly troops can only be placed on friendly territory. Subsequently, players secretly annotate their troops' actions (Do nothing, Make a move, or Destroy.) After the actions are revealed, the movements are executed, and then the destructions. The game ends when players can not destroy more opposite territories. Each player counts the number of controlled territory pieces she has. The player controlling more pieces wins the game. Of course, the game can be drawn if both players get the same number of territory pieces. An entry into the About.com: 2003 Simultaneous Movement Game Design Competition. |
