I love Rugby and have spent the last few months designing a game based around it. Rugby is a very complicated game and transposing all that to a game board would, I believe, result in a very over complex experience. Given all of this I've abstracted many of the concepts to make a game that reflects the major ideas of playing Rugby Union. The game should fall into the short length time span when you work it out. This should not be very hard as the main rules are only a page long. I've made it available free to download bellow and if it's liked I'll no doubt grab a real artist and publish it. Feel free to give it to whomever you like provided you don't charge for it. You will need to get some light card (I used pale 120gm card that I got from the news agent) and to make The Rack and Cards. You need The Rack for the game to work in the way intended. Most bubble jet printers now days can print on this. Do not get the two decks mixed up. I printed each deck on a different colour cardstock. You need to print the card file twice (for each player) to make up the 36 cards. I did this so that people who have a slower connection to the net don't have to download as much stuff. You also need to print the board twice and join the two halves together.

Generally speaking, you should each be able to score once or twice per half. So it should be quite close. Expect the first game to take some time while you work things out, after that it should only take about 60min. Have fun.
