Designer: Paul Sijben Aboyne is played on a 5x5 hexagonal board. Each player has 9 stones, which are placed along his side of the board. In the middle of his line of pieces is a space that is designated the 'goal cell' -- one of his pieces is placed in front of, instead of on, this space. On his turn, each player must move one of his non-blocked stones. A stone is considered blocked if it is next to an enemy stone. A stone may move to an adjacent empty cell or jump over a line of friendly stones landing on the following cell. If that cell is occupied by an enemy stone, that stone is captured. A stone cannot move into the opponent's goal cell. The player that moves a stone into his own goal cell or stalemates the opponent wins. |
