Designer: James Ernest Equipment: Five 4-sided dice, and a stack of poker chips. There is a holding area called the 'Pot' in the middle of the table, and an unlimited supply of chips elsewhere, called the 'Bank.' Play begins with a random player, and proceeds to the left. On each turn, a player puts one chip from the Bank into the Pot, and rolls one die. If he rolls a '1', he is 'aced out.' This means his turn is over, and he passes the dice to the left. If he doesn't roll a '1', he may either collect the Pot and end his turn, or he may roll again. If he rolls, he adds two chips to the pot and rolls two dice. As before, if he rolls a '1' on either die, he is aced out. If he doesn't ace out he can either take the Pot or continue rolling, each time adding a extra die and an extra chip. Whether the player aces out or passes, the next player always starts again at one die. Anything left in the Pot remains for the next player to shoot for. If any player makes it all the way to 5 dice and still doesn't ace out, he wins the game. Otherwise, the winner is the first player to collect 30 chips. |
